Classification of Plastic Flame Retardant Grades

The flame retardant grade of plastic increases from HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0:

Requirements For samples 3 to 13 mm thick, the burning rate is less than 40 mm per minute; HB: the lowest flame retardant level in the UL94 standard.

UL Fire Test Report

For samples less than 3 mm thick, the burning speed is less than 70 mm per minute; or it goes out before the 100 mm mark.

V-2: The flame was extinguished within 30 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. It can ignite cotton wool under 30 cm.

V-1: The flame was extinguished within 30 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. Do not ignite cotton wool under 30 cm.

V-0: The flame was extinguished within 10 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. No burning matter can fall.
