Classification Of M12 Connector Cable

M12 connector cable divides into 4 assortment, connector for molding, field installable/assembly, panel mount, adapter&splitter and molding cable.  

First type Connector for molding.

it have shielded (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) Male/Female and unshielded (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) Male/Female connector;

M12 Molding cable contain straight and elbow. straight head has shielded or unshielded connector, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN are available, and Male/Female are matched. right angled cable has unshielded connector with 3, 4, 5, 8 , 12PIN and M/F.        

Field installable/assembly contain below types

a. plastic unshielded straight head (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F, plastic unshielded elbow (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F,

b. plastic unshielded straight/right angled head PG7 (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F,

c. plastic unshielded straight/ elbow head PG9 (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F, d. metal shield PG7 and metal shield PG9.

Panel Mount contain front fastened, rear fastened and SMT.

a. Front fastened has two types" DIP and wire cup

*DIP has metal straight head, metal elbow and plastic straight head, metal straight head includes M12*1.0, PG9 and M16*1.5 (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN), dip with location, Male/Female connector;

metal right angled have M12*1.0 (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F;

*Wire cup contain M12*1.0, PG9 and M16*1.5(3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) M/F;

b. Rear fastened's classification is same as front fasten.

SMT has (3, 4, 5, 8, 12PIN) Male/Female.
